Jungle Ghouls - 3 Stage Event - 04/02/2026
Here we go again, 3 stages with not much really for experienced players, unless there's a surprise buff at the end.
Turns out I wasn't just old and grumpy - I was right to be pissed right off!

The hope is always there. So is the disappointment.

It's also one of the worst chapters to play, need to watch for muzzle flash!

Bottom line: Is a picnic basket really destined to be the go-to RPG weapon? Perhaps spoiled mayonnaise will take out those pesky PVP bases with food poisoning.

Well, I have done 12 of the 20 upgrades and this POS still takes 2 shots to kill a goon. Noting that the Squadmates are only 14*, I think this one is going to be 'A PASS

Couldn't agree more, it really is weak and I don't see it improving much, unless we get a nice surprise.

Wise decision. Even with a fully upgraded weapon, it takes multiple hits to kill a drone or goons. Oddly, the helicopters only take a single hit.Corporal Kiwi wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 6:00 am Well, I have done 12 of the 20 upgrades and this POS still takes 2 shots to kill a goon. Unfortunately, I have a 9-day Deputy running and accumulating weapon parts. Getting through the chapters and finishing the Level might be quite the challenge. Slo-mo and/or rockets might be necessary.
As Decker points out, major buffs are needed with this weapon and with the required armor suit at the final level. Still...a picnic basket...really?

Well just under 23 hours to go and far too many upgrades still needed. I don't see t being worthwhile using pack let alone deputies, so looks like someone else will have to keep reporting if anyone can be bothered.

Kiwi and Decker are the winners! They both avoided this sinking ship event. This Level 1 weapon has to be the biggest POS that GL has put out in years.
It took two shots to take out a simple goon, as well as a drone and even more for helicopters. This sad state of affairs is with a fully upgraded weapon. The last 3 missions of Chapter 10 were unwinnable with my limited skill. An infinite slo-mo (from a Shard event) had to be used along with rockets. Even then, the final fight, 10/5,took two attempts to defeat. Level 2 better be considerably better in every way.
I likely would have bailed out as well except for foolishly wasting a 9-day Deputy that is amassing a stash of weapon parts. As a result, the event will likely be completed. Very sparse reporting here might be done but don't expect much detail. It is well known what the probable results will be.
Let the Picnic Basket weapon rule! Right.
